Led by U Htein Lin, Director-General of the International Affairs and Prevention Department under the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), a Myanmar delegation participated in the 19th ASEAN Parties Against Corruption (ASEAN-PAC) Secretariat Meeting held on 16-17 August at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
During the meeting, representatives from 10 ASEAN member countries approved the minutes of the 18th ASEAN-PAC Secretariat Meeting held on 13 September 2022. Discussions centred around Cambodia’s hosting of the meeting, as the alternate Chairman of ASEAN-PAC, and deliberations on the issuance and distribution of an ASEAN-PAC e-booklet. The State Inspection Authority (SIA) of Laos, set to host the 19th Principals’ Meeting of ASEAN-PAC in November 2023, presented the arrangements for the upcoming event. The gathering also covered topics like promoting news about the 19th ASEAN-PAC Secretariat Meeting on the ASEAN-PAC Portal, establishing an ASEAN-PAC contact list, and designating focal points.
