Myanmar embassy in Seoul invites contact of Myanmar citizens hearing information on casualties in Halloween festival in Korea

There were people killed and injured during the Halloween festival held in Itaewon ward, Yongsan of Seoul, South Korea on the night of 29 October according to the Myanmar Embassy in Seoul.
About 151 people were killed in the incident, including 19 foreigners, 11 of whom have not yet been identified. The Myanmar embassy said it is concerned about all Myanmar citizens. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea has inquired about whether or not Myanmar citizens have been affected.
Therefore, the Myanmar Embassy notified Myanmar citizens in South Korea of reporting the death and injuries of friends quickly if they receive information.
The embassy is yet to receive information about the death and injury till the midday on 30 October, a Myanmar citizen in Korea close to the embassy told to GNLM.—TWA/GNLM
