Myanmar Engineering Council patrons select new council members for third term

Myanmar Engineering Council patron meeting to elect new council members for the third term of the council was organized in Yangon yesterday.
First, Council Patron Union Minister for Construction U Shwe Lay said the ministry plays a significant role in the council.
It is also making efforts to seek recognition from the ASEAN region and Asia Pacific regions for Myanmar’s Profession Level engineering with the collaboration of the country’s skilled experts. It needs to cooperate to achieve the aims of the council.
He also stressed the need to follow the State Administration Council’s roadmap in implementing the council’s future work plans under the law, rules and regulations, orders and directives.
Then, Council Patrons Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than and U Aye Myint discussed the plans to select council members, ethics of engineers and the council’s further work plans.
Afterwards, the Council Patrons coordinated the discussion and selected the council members for the third term. — MNA
