Myanmar high-level delegation led by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visits Vostochny Cosmodrome

The Myanmar high-level delegation led by State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left the Vladivostok International Airport of the Russian Federation yesterday morning for the Ignatyevo International Airport in Blagoveshchensk of Amur State. The Senior General and party were seen off at the airport by Deputy Governor of Vladivostok Mr Stegniy Daria and officials.
At the Ignatyevo International Airport in Blagoveshchensk, the Senior General and party were welcomed by Head of Government of Amur State Mr Vasilii Orlov and party. The Senior General and party proceeded to the Vostochny Cosmodrome by helicopter.
At the Vostochny Cosmodrome, the Senior General and party were welcomed by Director-General Mr Yuri Borisov of State Space Corporation “Roscosmos” of the Russian Federation, International Cooperation Leading Expert Mr Nikita Perminov of “Roscosmos” and officials.
They arrived at the construction site of the Angara rocket launching station and the Soyuz-2 rocket launching station. Officials explained technological arrangements for the stations, and the Senior General asked for further information. Officials conducted the Senior General and party round the rocket assembling workshop and satellite assembling workshop in the technical complex. The Senior General asks about each workshop and they all posed for documentary photos in front of the Soyuz-2 rocket in the rocket assembling workshop.
The Vostochny Cosmodrome was established in August 2012 and it launched the first spaceship in 2016. So far, 11 spaceships have been launched.
On arrival at the Engineering-technical building (GP-5), the Senior General held a meeting Director-General Mr Yuri Borisov of the State Space Corporation “Roscosmos” of Russia.
At the meeting, they exchanged views on the assistance of the Russian Federation for aerospace technology development in Myanmar with experiences, recommendations, technologies and turning out of human resources, and technological cooperation between the two countries.
The Senior General and party left the Ignatyevo International Airport of Blagoveshchensk in Amur State for Baikal Airport in Ulan-Ude of Republic of Buryatia. They were seen off at the airport by Head of Government of Amur State Mr Vasilii Orlov and party. — MNA
