Myanmar imports approximately 5,000 tonnes of pharmaceuticals worth over US$53.7 mln in Nov

Approximately 5,000 tonnes of pharmaceuticals, with an estimated value of over US$53.711 million, were imported from foreign countries in November, according to the statistics released by the Ministry of Commerce.
Myanmar brought in medicines worth $48.007 million by sea from Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, China, Cyprus, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, India and 32 other countries.
Between 1 and 30 November, Myanmar imported 2,000 tonnes of medicine worth $5.704 million from China (1,200 tonnes) and Thailand (800 tonnes) through the border posts. —TWA/KK
