Myanmar men’s national football team suffered a 0-3 loss to the Viet Nam team in their last group match of the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022 played at My Ding Stadium in Hanoi, Viet Nam yesterday.
The Myanmar team had already left the group stage, but for their dignity, they played the best response against the powerful Viet Nam team.
Even at the beginning of the match, the Viet Nam team threatened the Myanmar team’s backline many times with their power passes and superb dribbling skills.
In the eighth minute of the game, Myanmar goalkeeper Kyaw Zin Lwin made a big mistake, and because of his mistake, Viet Nam scored an early goal.
In the 27th minute of the game, Nguyen Tien Linh scored the second goal of the Viet Nam team with beautiful attacking links.
After conceding two goals, the Myanmar team had to focus on defence, and thus the Viet Nam team could not score again, and the first half ended with a 2-0 result.
In the second half, the Myanmar team played an open attack, but could not overcome the tough Viet Nam team’s backline.
From the counterattack, Chau Ngoc Quang scored the third goal for the Viet Nam team after passing the Myanmar defenders at 72 minutes.
With a 3-0 victory, the Viet Nam team passed the group stage, but the Myanmar team was eliminated from the group stage with just one point. — KZL
