Myanmar loses to host Thailand in AFC Futsal Asian Cup group match

Myanmar lost to host Thailand 0-5 in the third group match of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup held in Bangkok, Thailand, yesterday.
Myanmar allowed many conceding goals to the powerhouse Thai team in the second half. Myanmar conceded one goal to the Thai team in the first half but let four more goals from its opponent in the second half.
In other matches of Group A, Viet Nam won over China 1-0. Currently, host Thailand is sure to sail into the next stage with six points in two wins in Group A, whereas Viet Nam has secured four points and Myanmar has one point. The Chinese team did not score any points in the two losses.
On 21 April, Myanmar is scheduled to play against China in the last group match. Only when Myanmar wins China with a large margin of goal difference will the former have to advance to the next stage. — Ko Nyi Lay/TTA
