Myanmar sends over 860 workers to Republic of Korea via EPS in March

Arrival of 141 new manufacturing workers who were sent to the Republic of Korea under EPS system by POEA at Incheon airport on 27 March.

Through the government’s Public Overseas Employment Agency (POEA), 862 workers were sent to the Republic of Korea in March, according to Myanmar Embassy in the Republic of Korea.

141 Myanmar workers – 33 for agriculture and livestock sector, 30 for construction and 78 for manufacturing – who were sent under ESP system arrived at Incheon International Airport by Myanmar National Airlines UB 8301 (charter flight) from Yangon on 27 March.

Similarly, 141 Myanmar workers and another batch of 141 manufacturing workers arrived at Incheon International Airport by Myanmar National Airlines UB 8301 (charter flight) from Yangon on 20 March and 6 March respectively.

Labour attaché from Myanmar Embassy in Seoul welcomed workers when they arrived at Incheon, instructed what they need to know and follow, and provided assistances they need.

A total of 862 workers arrived in Korea under EPS during this month. The embassy said 1333 EPS workers in total under E-9 visa have already been sent to the Republic of Korea in February.
