Myanmar striker Win Theingi Tun shows good performance in Indian club

Myanmar women’s national team striker Win Theingi Tun has extended his contract with Indian club Gokulam, according to the team’s statement.
Win Theingi Tun has signed a two-month contract extension with the Indian football club due to her brilliant performance, football authorities said.
Under the new contract, Win Theingi Tun will stay until the end of April 2022 and is playing in the Indian Women’s League.
Win Theingi Tun struggled to fit in when she first arrived at Gokulam, but is now in good form and is scoring goals.
Win Theingi Tun is the first Myanmar female footballer to go abroad, and the opportunity to play abroad is likely to improve a lot, including her experience, football officials said.
Win Theingi Tun has not been able to join the Myanmar squad due to playing for an Indian club and will only be in India to compete in the Asian Cup, football authorities stated. —Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
