Myanmar-Thai artistes ready for “Love with Khemarat”

Myanmar and Thai artists will star in the “Love with Khemarat” series, set to be broadcast on Channel K, as announced during the movie series’ launch ceremony.
The Myanmar-Thai cast will begin filming on 30 October in Chiang Mai and Mae Sai, Thailand. The Thai artistes will perform in their native language, while the Myanmar artists will use the Myanmar language. Director Kyaw Htin expressed, “This movie is a significant challenge for me. Some plots present challenges. It’s not a typical story. It’s a girl love story with a Tomboy character. Making such a film is quite a task. In Myanmar cinema, a love story involving a girl is a rarity.”
The story is penned by Phyo Thinzar Kyaw and is based on the true love story of a Chiang Mai Princess and a Kengtung Prince. The film features cast members Yamin May Oo, Miss Kit Jianarat Nantanarungruang, Miss Phattaranan, Sai Wai Myo Thaw, Shun Myat Chel, and those who have completed PCC acting training. The “Love with Khemarat” series consists of 20 episodes, each lasting 30 minutes. The launching ceremony took place at Tawwin Centre in Dagon Township, Yangon, on 20 October. — ASH/KTZH
