With the supervision of the Myanmar Lethwei Federation, the Myanmar-Thai traditional Lethwei event will be held at Theinbyu Gymnasium in Yangon on 14 January.
Tun Min Aung (Myanmar) will face 28-year-old Taksila Kamsing (Thailand), a former champion of Cambodia’s 72-kilogramme class, who knocked out Sovin. He has won the WMC 2018 Tournament, the 2019 Lumpini Stadium Championship, the Rajadamnern Stadium Championship, and the 2021 J-Middleweight Championship.
He has 94 fights and is the only top fighter with beautiful skills who has won precisely 72 fights in Thailand.
If Tun Min Aung wants to win again against a Thai legend like Tasila Pan, the only thing left is to challenge one of Myanmar’s top fighters. Thant Zin (Myanmar) will face Vachvicha (Thailand) in the following fights, and Arhman will take on Maung Zaw. Similarly, Saw Arkar will battle with Nyi Ye Khant, and Ko Shumawa will fight against Ko Kyan Sitt Aung. Tickets are priced at K10,000, K20,000, K30,000 and K50,000 for the Myanmar-Thai traditional Lethwei event. — Bala Soe/KZL
