Myanmar U-19 men’s football team is preparing their best for the upcoming international tournaments, as stated by the Myanmar Football Federation.
The Myanmar U-19 team started training in October and continued training with 31 players in the third week of October.
After the MNL tournament, which will end in the third week of December, players under the age of 19 will be selected again for Team Myanmar, and preliminary players will also be confirmed.
U Aung Naing is in charge of the Myanmar youth team as the head coach. In 2023, the Myanmar U-19 team participated in the MNL-2 tournament under the name of the Junior Lions team so that the players could gain experience without having to compete in international tournaments.
The Myanmar U-19 team will compete in the ASEAN U-19 Championship and Asian Cup U-20 qualifiers in 2024, and will play international friendly matches depending on the conditions of the tournament. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
