Myanmar Vovinam team bag one gold, one bronze, whereas Rowing team grab one silver in SEA Games

The 31st South-East Asian Games, hosted by Viet Nam, is being held at stadiums in various cities.
Ma Khine Wah Phoo and Ma May Honey Aung Lwin won the sixth gold medal for Myanmar in the women’s doubles event (performing event) of Vovinam at Soc Son Stadium in Hanoi, Viet Nam yesterday evening.
Likewise, Ma Hnin Thet Wai bagged a bronze medal in the 55-kg event of women’s Vovinam.
Next, Khin Mar Hse won a silver medal in the women’s 10,000-metre race at My Dinh National Stadium.
The Myanmar rowing team won another silver medal at the 1,000-metre men’s Kayak event against Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam and Cambodia, and the Myanmar Canoeing team won one bronze medal at the 1,000-metre Canoeing men’s event. Similarly, the Myanmar team competed in the third-place match of Recurve Women’s Archery Team (Recurve) held at Hanoi National Sports Training Centre yesterday and the team Myanmar won a bronze medal.
Maung Zaw Lin Htet won another bronze medal in Taekwondo 63-kg at Tay Ho Stadium.
The Union Minister and party visited and supported the Myanmar team’s participation in Sepak Takraw, Volleyball and Women’s Football match yesterday.
Myanmar has won six gold, eight silver and 15 bronze medals in the 31st South-East Asian Games. With a total of 29 medals, it is reported that Myanmar is ranked 7th in the ASEAN. —MNA
