Myanmar wins 9 silver, 3 bronze in 14th ASIAN Dragon Boat Championship and earns 2 silver, 2 bronze in Thailand Traditional Boat and International Swan Boat Race 2022

The Myanmar Rowing Team competed in the 14th ASIAN Dragon Boat Championship and Thailand Traditional Boat and International Swan Boat Race 2022 and won a total of 11 silver, and five bronze and ranked 4th at the national level.
The 14th ASIAN Dragon Boat Championship was held in Pattaya, Thailand from 16 to 22 November, and Myanmar Rowing Team won nine silver and three bronze.
Thailand Traditional Boat and International Swan Boat Race 2022 was held on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok from 22 to 26 November, and team Myanmar won two bronze medals and two silver medals.
A total of 12 teams including, the host Thai team, Australian team, Cambodian team, Chinese Taipei Team, Hong Kong team, Chinese team, Indian team, Indonesian team, Malaysian team, Myanmar team, Nepalese team, and Singaporean team participated in the competition.
The Philippines team and the Laos team also competed in the traditional Thai rowing competition.
The Indonesia team won the first while the Thai team grabbed the second. The Chinese team won the third and the Myanmar team won the fourth during the traditional tourney.
When the Myanmar Sports Team returned to Yangon by air on 27 November, the Advocate-General of the Yangon Region Government, the Yangon Region Sports and Physical Education Committee Chairman and officials, and Myanmar Rowing Federation officials welcomed them back at Yangon International Airport. —MNA
