The book launch for “A Tale of Lost Tail & Other Short Stories”, written by author A W Khin Myat Phone, was organized at Central Hotel in Yangon yesterday.
The event was attended by Myanmar Writers’ Association (Central) Secretary U Nyunt Tin (Maung Nyein Thu-Gyopingauk) and executive members, the South Okkalapa Township Writers’ Association Chairperson and executive members, experts, writers, publishers and invitees.
“The newly released book targets both young adults and the elderly, especially those who learn English, want to read English stories, and are interested in stories that are appropriate to Myanmar culture.
“I released “The Red Flower and Others Short Story” in 2019 when I was 16, and now “A Tale of Lost Tail & Other Short Stories” when I am 21. The book includes 11 chapters covering supernatural events, unusual things, fantasy-thriller and adventures, and so mostly the young people will enjoy it,” she said.
The book is available at the Arther Academy publishing house in Botahtaung Township. — Nyein Thu (MNA)/KTZH
