Myanmar’s medallists return from Asian Games

Officials and relatives of the athletes warmly welcome Myanmar sports team who won gold and bronze medals at Yangon International Airport yesterday.

Sepak Takraw players who brought the first gold medal and rowers who took two bronze medals for Myanmar at the XIX Asian Games in China arrived back in Yangon yesterday evening.
Officials and relatives of the athletes welcomed back them with some entertainment programmes.
The sports team includes the chairperson of the Myanmar Traditional Boat Race Federation, gold medallists from the Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation and bronze medallists from Myanmar Traditional Boat Race Federation who took one bronze in the women’s 500-metre 12-rower completion and one more bronze in the women’s 1,000-metre 12-rower completion of Dragon Boat Race. — Bala Soe/KZL
