The National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) held a meeting with the delegation from the Karen National Democratic Party-KNDP yesterday morning in Nay Pyi Taw.
The meeting was attended by SAC Member NSPNC Chairman Union Minister at the Government Office (1) Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and committee members, and Chairman of the Karen National Democratic Party-KNDP Mahn Aung Pyi Soe and representatives.
The meeting discussed issues related to holding the multiparty general election with a PR system, election-related peace issues, and peace developments in Kayin State. They also discussed ways to reduce armed conflicts and address the plight of the people fleeing the fighting. — MNA
