NUG-spread misinformation alleges exodus since Military Service Law enforcement

Subversive NUG is spreading propaganda, claiming that there has been a significant exodus of people fleeing to other countries since the State Administration Council (SAC) implemented Myanmar’s People Military Service Law on 10 February 2024.
This misinformation aims to persuade young people to join terrorist groups, destabilizing the Union, national unity, and sovereignty. They urge individuals not to undergo military training or serve in the military for national defence.
Furthermore, terrorist groups exploit political conflicts, making arrests, executing individuals under false accusations of informing security forces, burning homes, and planting mines on public roads.
The malicious media and terrorist groups purposefully circulate false news to discourage citizens from undergoing military training or serving in the military under the law. Consequently, the government is providing education on the laws, regulations, and rules of Myanmar’s People Military Service Law through State-owned media.
