Returnees are welcomed back at Wampong port in Tachilek.

Myanmar nationals from abroad are being welcomed at various border crossings this month.
A total of 99 returnees – 63 males and 36 females—came back home through Chinshwehaw.
Similarly, one male returnee came back home through Laukkai and 188 returnees – 106 males and 82 females—returned to Myanmar through Tachilek, Shan State (East) respectively.
Healthcare officials from relevant public hospitals and members of the Tatmadaw Medical Corps conducted COVID-19 tests and provided quarantine entry documents for the returnees.
Next, instructions of the Ministry of Health were explained systematically and departmental officials provided necessary assistance.
The township administration then escorted them to their respective places in passenger vehicles, and the infected people were kept in separate places to facilitate necessary medical and administrative matters, officials said. — MNA
