Only when the production of raw materials is robust will the finished products gain progress with a firm market: Senior General

Locals and public service personnel assigned in the region need to strive for the creation of a beautiful environment for attracting local and foreign travellers, peace and stability of the region, the prevalence of law and order and a secure state, said State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing yesterday morning at a meeting with MSME businesspersons from Kayin State at Zwekabin Hall of Hpa-an.

Visit to discuss improving businesses in Kayin State to develop the State economy and fulfil the needs
In his speech, the Senior General said that he came to Kayin State to discuss improving businesses in Kayin State to develop the State economy and fulfil the needs. As the economic policy of the country is not a centralized system or a projected economic system, the government is just to control the policy. Hence, businesspersons need to strive for achieving success in their businesses.
Encouragement for production based on domestic raw materials
Only when the production of raw materials is firm will finished products gain progress with a firm market. Kayin State is endowed with abundant agriculture and livestock products as well as underground and aboveground natural resources. Due to the large volume of limestone, the state can produce cement.

Kayin State is 80 per cent of rice sufficiency. A high yield of crops needs good agricultural techniques and agricultural water. Waste from livestock farms can be used as bio-fertilizer. Kayin State needs qualified rice mills to produce high-quality rice. Efforts must be made for achieving success in the cultivation of coconut, rubber and bamboo for the production of finished value-added products. Animal hide should be efficiently used in making personal goods. If beef cattle and pig farming tasks can be undertaken on vacant and virgin lands in the state, livestock products can be exported abroad for the development of local businesses. Loans will be disbursed as capital investments for agriculture and livestock farms and MSME industries.
Emphasis placed on human resources development
Plans are underway to establish an agriculture institute and livestock breeding institute in Hpa-an. It is necessary to encourage the increasing number of educated persons in Kayin State. Only when the number of educated persons increases will human resources develop.
Visitors see prosperous home
Locals and public service personnel assigned in the region need to strive for the creation of a beautiful environment for attracting local and foreign travellers, peace and stability of the region, the prevalence of law and order and a secure state, and the production of traditional foodstuffs can attract travellers. If efforts are made for the development of MSME industries, agriculture and livestock farms and the tourism industry, Kayin State will have economic growth as well as an improvement in the socioeconomic status of the local people.
The Senior General viewed consumer goods, foodstuffs, industrial products, traditional handicrafts, industrial goods, traditional products, clothing and traditional products at the booths and asked about prospects of grasping the market shares.
While in the Hpa-an Industrial Zone in the afternoon, the Senior General heard reports on sales of Bajaj brand tuk-tuk across the nation, and participation in welfare tasks by Precision Auto Engineering Co Ltd.
Later, the Senior General viewed round manufacturing of tri-wheelers and assembling process.—MNA
