Opening ceremony of 104th Cetiyangana Pariyatti Examination of Shwedagon Pagoda held

The opening ceremony of the 104th Cetiyangana Examination was held at the Chanthagyi rest house in the Rahu corner of Shwedagon Pagoda by the Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees yesterday.
Ovadacariya Sayadaws of the Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees, Cetiyangana Ovadacariya Sayadaws, the examiners and the candidate monks from regions and states, the board of trustees and donors attended the ceremony.
Firstly, the attendees took the Five Precepts from Nyaungdon Monastery Sayadaw Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Gandhavasaka Pandita Bhaddanta Pavara Bhivamsa. Then, the chair of the Cetiyangana Pariyatti Examination Committee U Boe Thin supplicated an opening speech.
Cetiyaṅgaṇa Pariyatti examinations were successfully held at Shwedagon Pagoda from the 67th to the 103rd. In the 103rd examination, five monks passed. There were 219 monks registered for the 104th examination. — Ko Ko Zaw (MNA)/GNLM
