Opening ceremony of Kyaiklat public hospital’s new 2-storey annexe marks Diamond Jubilee Independent Day

Union Health Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win and dignitaries cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the new two-storey extension building at Kyaiklat public hospital yesterday.

As a gesture of hailing Diamond Jubilee Independence Day, the opening ceremony of Kyaiklat public hospital’s two-storey annexe in Ayeyawady Region was held yesterday morning.
Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win of the Ministry of Health, together with Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win, Region Minister for Security and Border Affairs Colonel Moe Min Naing, Region Minister for Transport Police Col Tin Zaw Tun, Director-General of the Department of Medical Services Dr Myat Wunna Soe, departmental officials, medical staffs and locals attended the ceremony.
First, the Union minister, the region chief minister, the minister for Security and Border Affairs and the director-general of the Department of Medical Services cut the ribbon to launch the ceremony and Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win and Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win unveiled the signboard of the new two-storey extended building.
Then, the Union minister and party inspected the hospital compound and provided foodstuffs. Then, the Union minister and party met members of the hospital and health staff.
The new building at Kyaiklat public hospital was constructed with spending K397.73 million of government funds to provide needed healthcare services to locals in the township and nearby areas. It is a 50 beds facility including five HDU beds and is being built to expand in the future. — MNA/MKKS
