Outstanding students welcomed at Nay Pyi Taw Central Camp (Ywataw)

Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe welcomed 554 outstanding students who will join the Bagan, Inlay, Ngwehsaung and Chaungtha outstanding student camps and 64 supervisors and teachers at Nay Pyi Taw Central Camp (Ywataw). Deputy Ministers Dr Zaw Myint and Dr Moe Zaw Tun and relevant officials, accompanied by the Oozi (Myanmar’s traditional drum) troupes, were also present on the occasion.
Altogether, 554 outstanding students for the 2023-2024 academic year included 140 Grade-9 students, 140 Grade-10 students, 137 Grade-11 students and 137 Grade-12 students.
The Union minister encouraged outstanding students to keep trying hard to become reliable ones for the country, preserve the culture and tradition, and strengthen the Union spirit.
He also instructed the students to care for their health, follow the rules, regulations and laws, and make efforts to be double outstanding students.
Students and supervisors paid homage to the Maravijaya Buddha Image and Uppatasanti Pagoda on the same evening. — MNA/KTZH
