Over 130 accidents on Yangon-Mandalay Expressway in 10 months, claiming 70+ lives

According to the office of the expressway police commander office, over 130 traffic accidents occurred on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway in ten months, resulting in more than 70 deaths.
In October, there were 11 accidents on this road, resulting in seven fatalities and 22 injuries.
In addition, in October, 968 vehicles were impounded for speeding on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway. Reportedly, those from 169 vehicles were prosecuted for not wearing seat belts.
According to statistics, from 1 January to 31 October of this year, there were 137 traffic accidents on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway, resulting in 276 injuries and 78 fatalities.
A total of 54 men and 24 women died in traffic accidents, while 125 women and 151 men were injured. The total number of injuries is 276. — TWA/KZW
