Over K15.3 bln worth of Ice impounded in southern Shan State

The Anti-Drug Police Force seized over one tonne of Ice (methamphetamine) worth K15.3 billion in the Kunhing Township, Shan State (South).
The combined team consisting of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a UD 12-wheel truck driven by Sai Phyo Wai Thant (aka) Aik Hlyan accompanied by Sai Aik Mon at the Tarkaw bridge combined checkpoint, Kunhing Township at 3 pm on 19 October. They found 1.096 tonnes of Ice (methamphetamine) worth K15.3 billion from them. According to the interrogation, the Ice was to have been carried from Kunhing to Tachilek Township and they are being prosecuted according to the law and those connected with the crime will be exposed, it is learnt. — MNA
