Paytaw layer chicken farms, Shwemyo livestock zones inspected in Tatkon Township

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Aung Gyi inspected progress of Paytaw layer farm in Paytaw Village in Tatkon Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Area yesterday morning.
He called for collaboration in transferring techniques for farming systems, feeding, nutritious factors, and disease control, as well as in formulating and grasping the market share.
In Paytaw Village, 75,000 layers are raised in three farms in evaporated cooling system, resulting in the production of over 22 million eggs per annum. The breeding system, aimed at creating job opportunities and increasing family income in the village, is implemented in collaboration with the ministry, CP Co Ltd, and local stakeholders. It utilizes advanced livestock technologies and prioritizes biosafety.
The Deputy Minister also inspected the genetic improvement research of the domestic blue green cow conducted by the ministry’s researchers, calling for the maintenance of well-documented research records to enhance research outcomes and foster cooperation among researchers from various fields.
He also inspected the installations of incubators in Shwemyo livestock zone, emphasizing the provision of necessary assistance to private entrepreneurs and farmers to increase the productivity of layer duck, goat, cow, pig, layer chicken, broiler chicken, and duck productions in accordance with Good Animal Husbandry Practice (GAHP).
At the meeting of Pyinmana District Department of Livestock and Veterinary, he met with livestock entrepreneurs, farmers, and interested individuals operating with the State economic promotion fund. They discussed the State’s subsidies for livestock industry development, potential ministry assistance, and development prospects of MSMEs in the livestock industry.
Reportedly, the relevant supervisory committees will systematically vary allocation of K15.255 billion for farming of cow, goat and chicken through the State economic promotion fund. — MNA/TMT
