Pilgrims flock to Shwemyintzu Indawgyi Pagoda on Myanmar New Year Day

Over 5,000 people visited Shwemyintzu Indawgyi Pagoda located in the Indawgyi Lake, Mohnyin Township, Mohnyin District, Kachin State on Myanmar New Year Day.
Pilgrims donated flowers, candle lights, drinking water and cashes to the pagoda and religious teams recited Buddha sermon and kept Sabbath on the New Year Day.
About 10,000 people from across the country came to pay homage to the pagoda from the pre-Thingyan day to the final day, said U Thaung Nyunt, a member of the Pagoda Board of Trustees. — Zwe Thura Aung (IPRD)/GNLM
