The security forces keep investigating to seize the weapons used in riots. The police arrested Zarni Aung (aka) Atar for making jingalis at an unoccupied house owned by U Moe Aung (under scrutiny) in Sin Inn Village of Shwebo Township of Sagaing Region together with his arms on 18 May.
The police raided the house of Si Thu Kyaw, who was charged under Penal Code section 505-a at Ingapu police station in Ayeyawady Region, for storing air guns and found the security of house Moe Win together with two air guns and one gas gun.
Similarly, the security forces seized the weapons used in riots at the warehouse of Aung Theikdi religious hall in Maha Nwe Sin Ward of Mahaaungmyay Township of Mandalay Region and at an unoccupied house in Maha Bawga 1st street in No (3) Ward of Kamayut Township of Yangon Region.
Moreover, the police arrested Sayadaw U Thitsar (aka) U Thant Zin from Aung Yadana monastery in Kyun Thaya Ward of Bago Township in Bago Region together with the arms used in riots.
The officials keep conducting investigations to uncover and take action against the suspects who keep or create the firearms and other materials used in riots under the law. – MNA
