Deputy Minister U Nyunt Aung of the Ministry of Commerce addressed the opening ceremony of a practical course on trade and investment for commerce attaches yesterday morning.
The deputy minister said that it is necessary for trade attaches to understand not only the economic situation of the country where they are assigned but also the global economic situation, and potential markets for their country’s main exports. He also urged them to have a wide knowledge of facts and figures on new export items and explore new markets and constantly study the relaxations of tax and regulations about investment and invite foreign investments.
He also called on the trainees to be loyal to the nation and abide by the rules for public servants wherever they are assigned.
Altogether sixteen commerce attaches to be sent to 12 foreign countries are attending the training course. — MNA
