Preparations for Diamond Jubilee Union Day underway across the nation

Diamond Jubilee Union Day, which falls on 12 February (today), is grandly organized in Union Territory, Nay Pyi Taw and across the nation.
For the preparations, crowded roads in Nay Pyi Taw are decorated with honourable signboards honouring the Diamond Jubilee Union Day while Yaza Thingaha road, where the Union Flag will be carried, with national flags and other flags bearing state/region signs, electric lights and photos of ethnic nationals.
Similarly, signboards are erected at the Yangon City Hall in Kyauktada Township of Yangon and the electric lights and signboards are also installed at the Maha Bandoola Park, the People’s Park in Dagon Township, U Wisara roundabout, U Htaung Bo roundabout and Hanthawady roundabout.
Moreover, officials arrange fountain shows at the Mandalay moat and decorate the palace wall, along the Yadanabon garden road and at the MCDC office with colourful electric lights.
The regions and states also make preparations to welcome the Diamond Jubilee Union Day. —MNA
