Primary foods sold at fairer prices by mobile markets in Kawhmu

Under the guidance of the Yangon Region Government and the collaboration of the Myanmar Rice Traders Association and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, residents of Kawhmu Township were provided with the sale of primary foods, rice and meat at fairer prices since 15 November.
The foods were exhibited on mobile markets in front of the Department of Information and Public Relations, and it is reported that one pyi of Emahta rice was sold for K1,000, one pyi of Pawsan rice was sold for K1,700, half viss of cooking oil was sold for K1,850, ten kyatthar (ticals) of beef for K1,200, and ten kyatthar of mutton for K1,700. A total of 400 bags of rice containing five pyi each, 400 bottles of half-viss cooking oil, 15 visses of beef and 20 visses of mutton were sold yesterday
It is learned that residents are expressing words of appreciation for the mobile market. Daw Khin Moe, a resident of Kawhmu, said, “It is very convenient for the residents that primary foods are sold at fairer prices during the COVID-19 period. The quality is also good and the prices are cheaper, I wish there will be more sales like this in the future.”
