PSC (Mongla) peace delegation arrives in Nay Pyi Taw

The delegation led by Vice-Chairman U San Pae of the Peace and Solidarity Committee (Mongla) arrives in Nay Pyi Taw on 3 June 2022.

As Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on 22 April called for peace talks with ethnic armed organizations-EAOs to achieve perpetual peace in the country and an end to the armed conflicts, a peace delegation led by Vice-Chairman of the Peace and Solidarity Committee (Mongla) U San Pae arrived in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
On arrival at the Tatmadaw airport in Nay Pyi Taw, the delegation was welcomed by members of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee and ethnic people from the Department of Fine Arts holding the miniature State flags and placards bearing, “Perpetual Peace is the real aspiration of the people”, “Achieving peace is the true desire of all citizens”, “Let’s hold talks for peace in the Union”, “Only the ethnic nationalities are in unity, stability, peace and tranquillity will be achieved”.
When the peace delegation arrived in Kengtung of Shan State (East) yesterday morning, it was welcomed by Commander of Triangle Region Command Maj-Gen Myo Min Tun, state/district level departmental officials, political organizations and the people who want peace. Then, the delegation left Kengtung for Nay Pyi Taw by flight. — MNA
