RBE trains to run PyinOoLwin-Gokteik-PyinOoLwin

Myanma Railways is planning to facilitate people’s travel and speed up the flow of goods.
Myanma Railways under the Ministry of Transport and Communications is making arrangements to run the train between PyinOoLwin and Gokteik starting on 22 December (Kayin New Year holiday) so local and foreign travellers can visit the historic Gokteik viaduct, enjoy the natural beauty of mountains, cultivate friendship with local people and gain general knowledge.
The RBE train will depart PyinOoLwin station at 8:30 am and reach Gokteik station at 1 pm. It will depart from Gokteik station at 2 pm and arrive back PyinOoLwin station at 5:30 pm. Forty passengers will be able to ride on the trip. It will stop at Pwekauk, Watwun, Salsam and Nawnghkio stations. The ticket price will be K3,500 per passenger. — MMR/KZW
