Rehabilitation undertakings gaining momentum

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe inspects relief materials unloaded from vessels at the multipurpose port in Sittway of Rakhine State yesterday.

A total of 1,229 mobile stations have been repaired to date, so the recovery of mobile communication is 99.68 per cent for public convenience.
Undertakings of rehabilitation are in progress in Mocha-hit Rakhine State with growing windbreaks and dredging drains in monsoon.
Materials to be used in rehabilitation were unloaded from vessels Wirupekkha and Pyidawaye-2 at the multipurpose port in Sittway of Rakhine State for the purpose to distribute them to needy areas in order to maintain momentum of rehabilitation.
Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe together with by Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, led the natural disaster rehabilitation meeting at the Rakhine State government office yesterday afternoon.
The meeting emphasized progress in accomplishment over the meeting decision and future plans.
While in Sittway, the Union minister comforted storm victim patients receiving medical treatment at Sittway General Hospital (500-bed) where specialists provide treatments for major diseases to the patients.—MNA/KZL
