Russian Security Council Secretary presents Order of Alexander Nevsky to SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, discussing enhanced bilateral cooperation

Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Mr Nikolai Patrushev presented the Order of Alexander Nevsky conferred by Russian Federation President Mr Vladimir Putin on Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at the Credentials Hall of the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw this afternoon. They discussed the promotion of bilateral cooperation.
At the meeting, the Senior General first said that he warmly welcomed the delegates led by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
The Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation expressed thanks to the Senior General for welcoming his delegation warmly. Moreover, he said that President of the Russian Federation Mr Vladimir Putin conferred the Order of Alexander Nevsky on SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing for his valuable endeavours to develop multi-sectoral cooperation with the Russian Federation and the Order of Friendship on SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win.
Then, the Secretary presented the Order of Alexander Nevsky conferred by President Mr Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation to the Senior General.
Next, the Secretary also presented the Order of Friendship to the Vice-Senior General.
The Senior General expressed his thanks for the Order conferred by Russian President Mr Vladimir Putin and cordially exchanged views with the Secretary on international issues and ASEAN issues, lesser prospects to control the world by a single powerful country due to the change from the unipolar to the multipolar in the international arena, prospects of various countries in cooperation, the plan of Russian Federation to stand for Myanmar in the international arena, Myanmar’s continued stand for Russian over the efforts for ensuring perpetuation of sovereignty of Russia, promotion of cooperation in defence and security measures between the two countries, bilateral cooperation in counter-terrorism, exchange of information between the two countries to combat terrorism, direct payment between Myanmar and neighbouring countries in trade, successful holding the naval exercise between two armed forces of Myanmar and the Russian Federation, direct flight and promotion of the tourism sector, promotion of cooperation in health, energy, electric power, oil and natural gas, manufacturing of fertilizers to be used in the agricultural sector, trade and steel production, cooperation in the health and medical sectors between the two countries, more sending of scholarship students from Myanmar to Russia, and further promotion of friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.
The ceremony was also attended by SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Joint Secretary of the Council Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Union Minister at the Union Government Office2 U Ko Ko Hlaing and officials. The Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation was accompanied by Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Iskander Azizov, and officials. — MNA/TTA
