SAC Chair PM Chairman of National Solidarity and Peacemaking Central Committee Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing sends video message marking 7th anniversary of Signing the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA)

The seventh anniversary event of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) is in progress in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Central Committee Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing sent his video message to the seventh anniversary of Signing the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) celebrated at the National Reconciliation and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The ceremony was attended by SAC member, Union Minister of the Ministry of Union Government Office, National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and committee members Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, special guests from the cabinet, Hluttaw, Tatmadaw, ethnic armed organizations-EAOs and political parties who participate in peace processes and NCA procedures, chairpersons, vice-chairpersons, secretaries, central executive members and central committee members of NCA signatories: ALP, DKBA, KNU/KNLA-PC, LDU, NMSP, PNLO, and RCSS.
After presenting the video message sent by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Central Committee Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae spoke on the anniversary occasion.
Then, the MC briefed the NCA processes and anniversary occasions.
Afterwards, those who participated in peace processes and NCA procedures, witnesses of NCA signing occasions – Vice-Chairman of UPWC and Union Minister (retired) U Aung Min, UPWC Vice-Chairman and MP of first Pyithu Hluttaw U Thein Zaw, Union Attorney-General (retired) U Tun Tun Oo, Lt-Gen Khin Zaw Oo (retired) and Work Group leader of political parties and SNDP Chairman U Sai Aik Pao also addressed.
Moreover, the leaders of ethnic armed organizations-EAOs who participated in peace processes and NCA procedures, those who participated in NCA signing ceremonies – Khine Soe Naing Aung (ALP), Phyar Than Khum Okkar (PNLO), Padoh Shwe Maung (KNU), representatives of NCA signatories- ALP Vice-Chairperson Saw Mra Razar Lin, DKBA’s Saw Kyaw Than Htay, KNU/KNLA-PC Vice-Chair Dr Naw Ka Paw Htoo, LDU Chairman Kyar Saw Lamon, NMSP Vice-Chair Nai Aung Min, PNLO Vice-Chair Khun Hun Tin and RCSS Central Executive Committee member Sao Saung Han made remarks.
Similarly, National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee members Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi, Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing, former MPC Senior Advisor U Hla Maung Shwe, JMC-U members U Pyae Sone, U Maung Maung Nyein and Sai Myo Thant made speeches.
Then, the persons and leaders of EAOs who cooperated in peace processes and NCA procedures were presented with gifts and the event was concluded. Officials hosted lunch after taking commemorative photos. —MNA
