SAC Chair PM Senior General Min Aung Hlaing addresses Union government meeting 2/2023

State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing addressed the Union government meeting 2/2023 held at the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Also present at the meeting were SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and the Union ministers.
At the meeting, the Union ministers reported on their respective sectors.
In his concluding remarks, the Senior General highlighted that it should complete the work plans for the 2022-2023 FY in time. Regarding government-run businesses, certain businesses do not have a balance of income and expenditure. Therefore, it should operate to balance income and expenses. Some state-owned businesses were suspended due to the wrong management in former government terms. Although some businesses did not run properly, the expenses were high for salary payments and maintenance costs.
The suspended factories are losses to the country and efforts should be made to resume them. In such doing, it should manage the best work correctly at least amount of cost without any unnecessary expenses. It can take action against those who do not work properly in a correct way. The leaders should know their duties and responsibilities and set the correct directives. They also should serve their duties knowing in principle.
He also underscored that the transportation, education and health sectors will be prioritized in coming years, and the development of the electricity sector is a must. The ministries concerned should try hard for their respective sectors and cooperate in measures to join the vocational training after completing the KG+9 scheme.
He added that it needs to celebrate the religious and political ceremonies full of the essence as per the tradition and custom. The culture and religion of the country must be conserved not to disappear due to external destructive elements. The ministries should work together to ensure the state stability, rule of law and economic growth of the country. —MNA/KTZH
