Due to booming businesses with local and foreign investments based on Thilawa Special Economic Zone, socioeconomic life of people from Thanlyin, Kyauktan, Kayan and Thongwa townships will have improvement. The bridge will contribute to development of Thilawa SEZ and Thanlyin region and create chances for people to have access to Hpa-an-Myawady area through East-West economic corridor, benefiting Mon and Kayin states for development and improving communication with regional countries. As the new bridge is built with advanced technologies, Myanmar engineers can accumulate experiences of modern technologies in building bridges.
