SAC member attends Rakhine State government-led rice donation ceremony in Sittway Tsp

SAC Member Daw Aye Nu Sein offers donation to the members of Sangha in Sittway Township yesterday.

The Rakhine State government led a ceremony to donate rice to 500 monks as part of one-day ahead of the full moon of Thadingyut (end of Buddhist Lent) at the Sasana Beikman of the Lawka Nanda Pagoda in Sittway Township yesterday.
The ceremony was attended by State Administration Council Member Daw Aye Nu Sein, Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr Aung Kyaw Min, Western Command Commander Maj-Gen Htin Latt Oo, Chief Justice Daw Wah Wah Tun of Rakhine State High Court, state cabinet members, military personnel, donors and invited guests.
First, they took five precepts from State Ovadacariya Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Gandhavasaka Pandita Sayadaw Bhaddanta Nanda Siri of Nanda Yama Pariyatti Monastery and the monks recited Metta Sutta.
Then, State Chief Minister reported on the religious affairs to Sayadaw and SAC Member Daw Aye Nu Sein, state chief minister, Regional Commander and officials donated the offertories.
Next, State Ovadacariya Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Agga Maha Gandhavasaka Pandita Sayadaw Bhaddanta Sawma of Dhamma Thukha Monastery delivered the sermons and the devotees shared the merits.
Finally, the SAC Member Daw Aye Nu Sein and party donated rice to 500 monks during the 3rd rice donation ceremony of the Rakhine State government at the Lawka Nanda Pagoda.—MNA
