SAC member pays observation tours in Thilawa

Accompanied by the chairperson of the Thanlyin district administration body, State Administration Council Member Mahn Nyein Maung visited the Wilmar Myanmar company in Yangon’s Thilawa port and observed operations of rice mills, edible oil industry, wheat industry and electricity generation from the rice-husk fuel.
General manager Mr Chen Pan explained the operations run with rice-husk fuel and managing director U Maung Kyay conducted round the company processes.
As Wilmar Myanmar company is undertaking the modern multi-purpose international jetty and land development works at Thilawa port under the BOT contract. It also produces wheat, edible oil and its related products, rice and rice-related products with the electricity generated from the rice-husk power plant. — MNA/KZW
