State Administration Council Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win received a delegation led by Mr Sholban Kara-Ool, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, at the State Administration Council Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, they cordially discussed the rehabilitation processes regarding Cyclone Mocha, Myanmar-Russia cooperation in the tourism industry, promotion of the tourism sector, normal operation of bilateral flights between two countries, the potential for promotion of Myanma Railways, small-scale nuclear power generation in Myanmar, development programmes in energy, investment, technology and human recourses and further bilateral relations and cooperation. They also exchanged gifts and had a documentary photo taken together.
Also present at the event together with the Vice-Senior General were Union Minister U Aung Thaw, Deputy Ministers U Aung Kyaw Tun, U Thant Sin and Dr Aung Zeya. The Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, was accompanied by Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Nikolai Listopadov and other officials. — MNA/KTZH
