State Administration Council Vice-Chair Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win meets officers, other ranks and families of Minbya Station in Rakhine State yesterday.

State Administration Council Vice-Chairman Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win had a cordial meeting with officers, other ranks and families of Minbya Station in the guest house of the station in the afternoon yesterday.
In his address to the officers and other ranks, Vice-Senior General Soe Win said that, as they are Tatmadaw personnel, they always have to do everything in their daily life and carry out their duties with full security awareness and alert, that team spirit, family spirit, understanding and unity are needed to ensure success in the performance of their duties. He stressed that responsible personnel are to see to it that provisions and other necessary supplies are distributed in time and that it is necessary for them to put the right man in the right place and assign duties fairly.
The Vice-Senior General went on to say that the commanders are responsible for the security of their subordinates and families and that the officers and other ranks will be able to carry out their duties without worrying about their families only if the life security of the families of their subordinates is ensured. And the Vice-Senior General emphasized that they should always practise the military skills they have learnt and that only in this way will they always be prepared to perform the duties of defending the country.
Regarding the education of the family members of the officers and other ranks, Vice-Senior General Soe Win pointed out that the Head of State has always encouraged the outstanding students and given stipends to them and taken measures for them to be able to work for master’s and doctorate and so it is necessary for servicemen and their family members to make the most of the opportunity offered. In addition, he said that responsible personnel and families living in the military units are to make sure that their children pass at least the KG+9 exams and render necessary help and support for this purpose.
As regards the health of servicemen and their families, Vice-Senior General Soe Win placed an emphasis on the fact that servicemen should always be fit and strong in order to carry out the duties for their families as well as for the country and that medical clinics at the military headquarters are fully-staffed and well-supplied with requirements.
Then, Vice-Senior General Soe Win heard reports of servicemen and their families and fulfilled their needs in coordination with responsible personnel and cordially greeted the family members of the servicemen. — MNA
