Classrooms are once again reviving with schoolchildren in Mongyawng in eastern Shan State.

Depending on the numbers of new COVID-19 patients and infection rates, the government have reopened basic education schools, including private schools and monastic schools under the Basic Education Department across the nation since 1 November, except for ones in 46 townships.
Among these 46 townships, the infection rate in Hopong, Yaksawk, Pinlaung, Laikha and Namhsan townships in Shan State (South), Lashio, Nawnghkio, Kutkai, Namhkam, Mabein, Hsenwi and Kunlong townships in northern Shan State and Kengtung and Mongyawng townships in eastern Shan State reached below the fixed estimate and so the schools, including private schools and monastic schools in these townships reopened starting 30 November. —MNA
