SEA Games Men’s Billiard: Myanmar billiard player Pauk Sa reaches final

Sea Games Billiards Snooker and Pool matches continued on 16 May with Myanmar participating in the Billiard event.
Pauk Sa started the quarterfinals with a three-set win over hosts Viet Nam and a 3-1 victory over Thai star Prabut in the semifinals as well.
Pauk Sa lost 65-100 points in the first match but won three remaining matches in a row.
Pauk Sa scored 100-9 points in the second match, 100-27 points in the third match and 100-30 in the fourth or final match.
Pauk Sa will face off against Singaporean Billiards star Peter Gilchrist in the final on the morning of 17 May. Peter Gilchrist has won the SEA Games individual billiards gold medal six times in a row since 2009. Min Si Thu Tun lost to Peter Gilchrist in the quarterfinals as two Myanmar billiard players competed in the individual billiards competition.
In the Snooker 6 Reds individual event, two Myanmar players, Aung Phyo and Win Ko Ko were eliminated from the quarterfinals.
Thaw Zin Htet, a Myanmar player who competed in the Pool 9 Ball individual competition, was satisfied with the quarterfinals. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
