Second day of 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition held in Sittway Township

A contestant takes part in the 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition in Rakhine State.

The second day of the Rakhine State Level 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition was held at the U Ottama Hall in Sittway on the morning of 13 September. Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr Aung Kyaw Min, officials, departmental personnel, social organizations, panel of judges of the competitions, contestants, artistes, art lovers and invitees were present on the occasion.
Competitions for old and classic and modern songs genre were held in the morning and afternoon of the second-day session respectively. Male and female contestants aged 10 to 15 and 15 to 20 participated in the basic education level, higher education level and amateur level competition totalling 46 for the singing contest.
The Rakhine State chief minister and officials encouraged the contestants and coordinated with responsible persons for further needs.
The Rakhine State level Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition is being held from 12 to 16 September 2022. The competitions were performed at the U Ottama Hall and cultural museum in Sittway with 136 contestants from various districts in Rakhine State. — Tin Tun (IPRD)/GNLM
