Shan United face Brunei Club in ASEAN Club Championship Play-off

ASEAN Club Championship Qualifiers and final round drawing-lots event held in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam, on 9 May. Myanmar football club Shan United FC meets Brunei Football Club (Kasuka) in the qualifying play-off stage.
In the qualifying play-off stage, one club from Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, and Brunei will be allowed to compete. The tourney will run from 17 to 24 July with two rounds at home and away system.
According to the drawing- lots ceremony, Myanmar’s Shan United will take on Kasuka of Brunei, while Cambodian club Svay Rieng FC will play against Young Elephant FC of Laos. The winners will qualify for the next stage. If Shan United qualifies for the next stage, they will book into Group A.
The final round matches will be held from August 2024 to May 2025.
Shan United team won the championship title in the 2023 Myanmar National League championship, so they have the opportunity to compete in this competition. In addition to the ASEAN club competition, they will also compete in the club competition organized by the Asian Football Confederation. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
