The pagoda board of trustees has announced its plan to offer gold foils to the entire structure of Shwezigon Pagoda in the Bagan Ancient Cultural Heritage Zone, NyaungU Township.
The waste gold salvaging work from refining balls, spreading and inverted lotus flowers started on 20 March to be able to donate gold foils to the pagoda.
Offering full gold foils will be implemented using 26,000 gold foils except for balls, the spreading and inverted lotus flowers.
Individuals interested in donating gold foil can contribute at a rate of K150,000 for one gold foil. They can also donate directly to the Shwezigon Pagoda Board of Trustees office or the Chairman of the NyaungU District Administration Body via KBZ Pay. — TWA/MKKS
