Specialized ophthalmological care offered to 500 patients daily

The Yangon Eye Hospital (YEH) provides treatment to nearly 500 eye patients daily.
The hospital comprises a department for common eye disorders and diseases along with seven other ophthalmological departments. Ophthalmologists and specialists from the hospital attend to about 50 patients with glaucoma or cataracts and around 450 outpatients every day.
YEH offers care and treatment for various eye conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, child retinal diseases, and other ophthalmological issues. The child ophthalmology ward was established in 2014-2015, and the hospital conducts immediate operations for emergency cases.
Emergency services are available 24 hours and seven days (24/7), while outpatients can consult with ophthalmologists on weekends from 8:30 am to 4 pm.
Patients can utilize the online booking system to contact the Outpatient Department and Specialist Department for Outpatients at YEH by searching for “Caremebot” on Viber or Messenger. — TWA/ TMT
