Prizes presentation event to mark 74th Independence Day in progress.

Multi-ministerial sports competitions to commemorate the 74th Independence Day continued to be held at the respective stadiums at Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex, Nay Pyi Taw.
Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan, Deputy Minister U Myo Hlaing and officials, and sports enthusiasts attended and supported the competitions.
The Union minister and party watched the final match of volleyball (women) and final match of volleyball (men) between the Ministry of Home Affairs team and the Ministry of Defence team and awarded a trophy and a cash award of K100,000 each to the best players who played respective positions during the match.
The Ministry of Home Affairs team won the first prize in the women’s volleyball competition and the Ministry of Defence team won the first prize in the men’s volleyball competition.
The Union minister and party also watched the final match of Sepak Takraw (men) between the Ministry of Home Affairs team and the Ministry of Defence team, the final match of Futsal (men) between the team of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the team of the Ministry of Defence, and awarded the teams.
On 4 January from 7 am, men’s/women’s 100-metre, 200-metre, 400-metre and 800-metre races, tug of war competitions (men/women), and htoke-see-toe competitions will be held at Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex. — MNA
