SPTT continues 2nd-day meeting with UWSP, NDAA and SSPP delegation

The State Peace Talks Team hold the second-day meeting with the delegations from UWSP, NDAA and SSPP yesterday.

The State Peace Talks Team-SPTT conducted the second-day meeting with the delegation led by the vice-chairman of the United Wa State Party-UWSP, the vice-chairman of the National Democratic Alliance Army-NDAA and the vice-chairman-2 of the Shan State Progress Party-SSPP at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre on 28 September morning.
The meeting was attended by State Administration Council Member Union Minister at the Government Office Chairman of National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee-NSPNC Peace Talks Team Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung and NSPNC members Lt-Gen Min Naing, Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein and Lt-Gen Aye Win and UWSP Vice-Chairman U Lau Yaku, Head of Political Department of UWSP U Aik Nap Ling, NDAA Vice-Chairman U San Pae, General Secretary U Kyi Myint, SSPP Vice-Chairman-2 Sao Khun Seng and SSPP Secretary-2 Sao Seng Hsu.
During the second-day meeting, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung explained the stage-by-stage implementation of the post-2020 stage-wise procedures and implementations (Table 2) agreed to discuss with ethnic armed organizations that have signed the NCA, and the participants exchanged their views.
Afterwards, the SPTT discussed with the SSPP delegation the points to be amended in the 2008 Constitution, and the meeting was closed after attendees exchanged their views and attitudes frankly. It is learnt that the third-day meeting will continue on 29 September. — MNA
